A shared-use kitchen commissary, cloud kitchen or KaaS (Kitchen as a Service) is a licensed commercial kitchen which meets all governmental regulations and requirements and is shared by multiple culinary professionals. Though all kitchens are unique in size and offerings, most all have dedicated food production areas, basic cooking and baking equipment, and storage options – such as dry storage and refrigeration.

The larger facilities offer more space and premium equipment, along with heftier rates, and oftentimes membership fees, and application and other miscellaneous fees. Smaller kitchens can easily cover your basic needs without all the bells and whistles, and higher price tags, but usually cannot accommodate large-production businesses, and don’t offer specialty equipment or extras, such as laundry services or truck parking.

Because we recognize new and independent businesses often have leaner budgets to work with than the more established food companies, and often require fewer hours, we offer four pricing tiers in order to accommodate all needs and budgets. And our lease is month-to-month, so you won’t feel locked in.

    If your research determines we may fit your needs, and after you have completed all necessary steps to create your business, all you need to do to join us is:

    • Fill out the form below to schedule a phone meeting. At the phone meeting, we will discuss your needs to determine if we can meet them.
    • If we can meet your needs, we will schedule your free tour. The purpose of the tour is for you to determine if you like the space and for us to determine if you will be a fit.
    • Once we are a go, we will determine your start-date, take care of all administrative work – including lease signing – and collect onboarding fees and essential documentation (proof of insurance and ServSafe certification).
    • You and your inspecting agency will schedule an inspection and permit approval meeting at the commissary. Immediately after that meeting, we will give you an SOP orientation and provide your individual entry code and walk-in freezer and/or cooler code.
